****MISUNDERSTOOD AND NOW WILL DIE BECAUSE OF IT**** There’s a bit of a mystery about the circumstances that brought Krissy and her companion Klara to Brooklyn ACC. The dogs reportedly were fighting and indeed , both dogs did have some wounds. But the minute they got to ACC, the staff there went out of their way to note “When they came in, they were standing next to each other calmly, not growling, and not trying to lunge at each other… They have both been social towards strangers”. Sure doesn’t fit the image of two dogs who were trying to hurt each other! And when it came time for Klara’s behavioral eva, she absolutely aced it, earning 1’s and 2’s on all items including all the resource guarding and dog on dog items. But that’s not enough for ACC. Klara’s caught the “shelter cold” and that’s a straight ticket to tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Tonight, Klara needs that one person out there who reads all of Klara’s notes and sees her for what she is—a good, young, very pretty dog. If you’re that person, start working with rescues to foster or adopt her. But do it quick—at noon tomorrow, ACC won’t hesitate to make this young girl gone forever.
