“MIX & MATCH” Begins Viewers’ Vote Tonight… “Who Will the Members of iKON Be?” [OSEN=선미경 기자] “MIX & MATCH”, cable channel Mnet’s survival audition program designed to select the members of YG Entertainment’s new boy group iKON, begins viewers’ vote at the same time with the beginning of episode 8 at 11pm on the 30. At 10am on the day, an image of six contestants: KOO JUNHOE, SONG YUNHYEONG, KIM DONGHYUK, JUNG JINHYEONG, JUNG CHANWOO, and YANG HONGSEOK with each one’s number was posted on YG’s official blog, with comment ‘’Select the four to be iKON. Your final vote will select iKON members. B.I, BOBBY, and KIM JINHWAN are not included in the image, as their debut has already been confirmed. The time for the voting is from 11pm on the day until 12am on the 31. Viewers can cast their vote by sending a text message, as well as on-line and through mobile voting on LINE. Each viewer can vote for four out of six members, and cannot cast more than one votes on one member. On the day’s episode, the final match which was held at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium in Anam-dong, Seoul, on the 22 this month, will be finally unveiled. The total nine contestants including B.I, BOBBY, and KIM JINHWAN who have already confirmed to be the members of iKON, and the other six competed in the freely-selected song match, match of songs written by the members themselves, and in a dance match. Notably, in the second-round match of songs written by members themselves, SONG YUNHYEONG, JUNG CHANWOO, and JUNG JINHYEONG and B.I, BOBBY, and KIM JINHWAN will first appear as the same team, to stage a lovely—and-romantic feeling performance. And then B.I, BOBBY, and KIM JINHWAN as well as KOO JUNHOE, YANG HONGSEOK, and KIM DONGHYUK will catch the eyes with a solemn and powerful song. People are paying keen attention to which one among the song with focus on vocal, getting away from existing color of strong performance, and the song with stronger hip-hop feel, will garner bigger popularity. Plus, YG’s head producer YANG HYUN SUK and YG artists including G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, EPIK HIGH, DARA, CL, MINZY, LEE HI, AKMU, MC YOO IN NA and DAESUNG will be there at the final battle, and WINNER will make a surprise appearance on the stage to give a special performance with B.I BOBBY, and KIM JINHWN.
