MIZORAM POLICE FC TAKE THREE POINTS -Michael Lalremtluanga In an exciting match of the Samsung 3:16 Plan Solution Mizoram Premier League Season 3 Round 5, Mizoram Police FC beat Dinthar FC by 3-2 and climbed to the third spot on the table. Police took the lead twice thorugh Lalbiakhlua and a brace from Dinthar FC Zico Zoremsanga equalized their opponent twice. Last seasons Luangmual FC captain B. Malsawmzuala scored the winner for the Police. Man of the match was Police keeper Vanlalhriata. It was a joyous moment for Mizoram Police midfielder V. Lalṭanpuia who came back from a serious injury to start for his team. Ṭ-a and keeper Hriata started the game while Lalfakzuala came back after being suspended. Dinthar FC played a 4-5-1 for¬mation and made just one change from the team that lost to Chanmari FC. Midfielder Lalmuansanga was replaced by H. Lalrinliana while there was no place in the starting eleven for MPL2 best forward nominee PC Zosanga who had to settle for his place in the bench. The match was exciting and alive right from the start and Fakzuala tested Dinthar FC keeper Lalthlamuana in the opening minutes while Lalramtharmawias effort with his head was wide of the goal. Dinthar FC created a good chance but Zico Zoremsanga failed to take it. Police keeper Hriata was on hand to deal with Dinthar FC cross balls time and time again. The veteran keeper made a wonderful save from a shot by Johny Lalfakzuala as well as an effort by R. Laldanmawia. MPL1 best player Danmawia latched on to the ball by Lalnuntluanga but missed in a one on one situation with the keeper as his shot went wide. After a goalless first half, the first goal of the match came at 49 minutes when a good work by Lalsangbera released Lalropuia to cross a wonderful ball for Biaktea who nod in the opening goal. The Police almost paid the price of not concentrating when Dinthar FC Dampuias shot hit the goal post and his second attempt was saved by Hriata again. Dinthar FC got the equalizer at 57 minutes from a corner kick and Zico was the goal scorer. But after just two minutes defender MS Dawngzelas back pass to the keeper was so bad that Biaktea got to it first to score his second goal for the Police. Dinthar FC kept attacking in search of an equalizer and got it at 68 minutes when substitute PC Zosanga and Zico tore apart the Police defence and Zico scored his second of the night. The winner for the Police came at 74 minutes when Sawmtea scored an amazing goal from a very tight spot. Police played a solid defensive game after scoring three goals thanks to the experienced keeper Hriata and defender Lallawmzuala who were rock solid at the back. Dinthar FC defender Vanlalchhanhima missed a header while Biaktea won a penalty in the injury time but Fakzuala failed from the spot as Police went on to win by 3-2.
