MLB: World Series Catch-Up: Game 1: Red Sox 8, Cardinals 1. There was a little commotion after the first game because of a substance in John Lesters glove. The substance was thought to be Vaseline, but was later said to be (from Lester and the Sox management) rosin. Game 2: Red Sox 2, Cardinals 4. Bucholz vs Wacha. Game 3: Red Sox 4, Cardinals 5. Ah, controversy. The obstruction call that won the game for the Cardinals last night will most likely be talked about for a while. Heres what happened: Pedroia made a good play to get the ball and throw the lead runner out at home plate (bottom of the ninth, in St Louis). Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia then tried to throw to third to get Allen Craig out. The throw was off the mark, and Craig was able to run home, where he was seemingly thrown out by Daniel Nava in left field. Home plate umpire Dana DeMuth called Craig safe, and pointed at Will Middlebrooks (Sox 3rd baseman) signaling obstruction. I will make no comments on what my opinion is on the call, but you are welcome to go look for yourself. I will put up a link on this page for you to go look at. I want your opinion! Debate, whatever I want to hear. Either way, the Cardinals won and Game 4 is tonight in St Louis with the Cardinals leading the series 2-1. First pitch at 8:15
