MMT drivers upgrade skills As part of NDC 2012 manifesto to implement a program of lifelong learning to benefit those already in employment, p42 • Government has launched the 1st Phase of the 2013 Driving Improvement Training Programme for Metro Mass Transit Drivers. • The Drivers have been urged to be circumspect in the performance of their duties, especially during their interactions with the company’s customers. • The nationwide training programme would re-train over 1, 0000 MMT drivers in the areas of customer relations, road safety and bus driving. • Upon completion of the training, drivers would be equipped with the necessary skills to make MMT a benchmark for other transport organizations.
