#MOH_stop_lying_to_Nigerians In his disappointment, Oladeji Ekundayo wrote: I wish there was a way I could bring my views to the press. Chukwu (Minister of Health) is grossly misinforming the public. He claims residents are not part of the success story. I have been attending the training sessions with the WHO and MSF at IDH yaba... all the doctors working there are registrars, MOs and senior registrars (Residents) from different hospitals in Lagos. From LUTH alone there are upto 4 or 5 doctors among the 10 or so doctors there. They have been there with all dedication for 3 weeks or more....infact consultants mostly only supervise....they have been there working tirelessly in shifts without adequate renumeration, food, shelter or care....infact young doctors there are so in charge of the situation that I had to leave after knowing that our services are no longer even needed there. Forget what Chukwu tells the press...he is a big liar and since none of our executives can break this down for the masses on news, I wish there was a way I could do that...RESIDENTS ARE IN ABSOLUTE CONTROL IN IDH, YABA. Even the money (N1.9bn) said to have been released by the Fed Govt is still on its way to lagos...we must give kudos to the Lagos State Government. They have been trying to take care of the doctors and other health workers there...even though greed and political influence still supercedes. Our NARD has to speak up on this...I didnt want to speak out before because even health workers associated with ebola also suffer stigmatization...but now, its necessary. I must say that we took all necessary precautions not to come in contact with any infectious stuff.
