MOM - MARS space mission .... Politicians are shamelessly trying to bag the credit which is more than rightfully due to Indian scientist. Why they cant just salute real heroes and stop blowing their own trumpet? Its not time to debate but to celebrate. Parliament should come together in acknowledging and appreciating them. Why no one talks of Bharat Ratna ? why no prizes are announced ? Winning cricket world cup makes everyone crazy to be first to hog the limelight. Shame on India - Where cricket is given more importance than such momentous mission !!! The media is not covering 24x7 such positive & inspiring success stories....Mumbai terror attack was covered non-stop for 36 hours !!! Kudos ISRO for : 1. Catapulting India into the first country in the world to successfully enter Mars orbit in first attempt ( US and Russia failed in their initial attempts and China is yet to succeed) 2. Achieving the feat with preparation time of less than 11/2 year. 3. Making it possible within economical by dget of US $ 73 million.... budget less than that of hollywood movie GRAVITY ( movie budget 100 million ) & less expensive than least expensive Boeing plane of USD 76 million. 4. Using many indigenious innovative techniques ( like sling shot method to push the satellite out of earths sphere of influence ). 5. Making it possible within ISROs paltry R&D budget of 0.038% of Indian GDP as compared to NASA budget of 0.1% of much larger American GDP. (Indias GDP = USD 1.87 trillion, US GDP=USD 17.311 trillion). Stop politicising Proud moment ....just be proud Indian !!!
