MON CRICKET - After the week off, action resumed again this week with match of the night being first 1 out of the gates. Both undefeated to date, someone was going to come away disappointed when Multiple Scoregasms met up with Victorious Secrets. Close match too with VS setting a reasonable but gettable total of 95. MSs turn up to bat and whilst they caught up to their target with about 3 overs to go, VS put on significant pressure in the field to ensure MS didnt get too far away. All credit to MS though, they managed to just hang on, getting the win by 16 with their standout being Dwayne Brooks whilst for VS, Matt Horton had a good showing. Next up, it was Back Net Bandits with a few ring ins taking on Lincoln Double Funnels. Old foes, BNB have the wood over LDF in this match up and tonight was no exception with the match fairly tight but BNB getting home for a comfortable 25 run win. Best for BNB, Matt Pistola and for LDF, birthday boy Wayne McKenny. The Burras struggled to make head way with the bat this week and paid the price, only managing to put on 49 runs giving them little to defend against Bavarian Snorkelers this week. First of the big wins this week, it was BS by 111 with a big shout out going to Jason Rehn courtesy of his team mates. Something about shit bowling....? Otherwise though, Ash Brown caught the umpys eye in the B&F votes whilst for TB, Rhys Paterson was the standout in a match best forgotten. And in the late 1, N.F.I. played a man down and whilst having a better night with the bat, were totally out matched in the field against Carpet Burn. With CB putting on 1 of the biggest totals I can remember with 250, they got a big percentage boosting win finishing ahead by 161. Best for CB, James Lee and for NFI, Cameron Heading. See you next week!
