MONDAY 2 SEPTEMBER | 6:30PM on #NITV | SURVIVING: STORIES OF BELONGING EPISODE 8, DONNA IFOULD Donna Marie Ifould lives in Broome and is a Bard woman. She is the first Indigenous linguist from the Kimberley and has been researching the roots of many Kimberley languages but especially the languages that come from the Nyulnyulan language family. Donna uses a metaphor of the two sisters story and the dingo to demonstrate how it is, language came to our people of the Dampier Peninsula region of the Kimberley and how we must use language to support our cases for acknowledgement of ownership, boundaries and belonging to our sovereign lands. nitv.org.au/fx-program.cfm?pid=2A73F286-C86D-08A2-254373436727D643
