MONDAY 29TH JULY 2013 WE ARE LIGHTS TO OUR WORLD REV.DONNIE You are the light of the world. A town put on a hill may be seen by all. Matthew 5:14 (BBE) Christ affected common men who were uneducated at that time and not recognized socially in their communities. He told them with what they have received from him they were going to light up their world. That is, they were going to inform the people about salvation and the higher goals of the kingdom and demonstrate the word of God with power. His disciples were to enlighten the minds of the people with the gospel as the sun illuminates the day. To be a light requires them to also live as an example to others both believers and non believers alike. For them to live as shinning lights, they had to be informed about his kingdom and plans. No wonder our lord was described as the father of lights meaning; he is the source of revelatory knowledge. Every good and true thing is given to us from heaven, coming from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change or any shade made by turning. James 1:17 (BBE) Light is revelation knowledge having proper understanding about God and his lofty plans for mankind. God is described as the father of lights meaning, he is the father of knowledge. He has proper understanding about how the universe is to be structured, the landscape the rivers channeled into other oceans, the seasons and weather conditions he knows them all! How much do you know? You a light, the volume of knowledge you already have if you channel them into proper use you will be functioning as your father. One of the qualities of God is, that he is without variables, that is, he is reliable, so is his word! Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35(KJV) As the testimonies of your kind words to advance the kingdom are noised about, you are lighting your world with the knowledge of God. Start today, light up your world. PRAYER OF DECLARATION I will make progress with the knowledge of God I have received, lighting up all the nooks and crannies of my world with the knowledge of father God.
