MORE THAN ENOUGH “For some of us, God’s best may look more like a pile of holy scraps. Like Jacob, we think of ourselves as a ‘heel’ or ‘hind part,’ trying to operate in a world of limited resources regardless of monetary or spiritual resources we have access to. This lie, WHICH can grow MORE POWERFUL in our lives than GOD’S PROMISES, can prevent us from taking even reasonable steps towards our dreams and enjoying life. We feel overlooked and ignored by everyone (including God). Our ability to dream becomes squelched (because, really, what’s the use?). For someone like Jacob, it can take a miracle to believe that “there is more than enough in God’s Kingdom.” That’s exactly why Jacob had to wrestle with God… “to displace the power of lack in his life.” Will we wrestle through it? There is always more than enough. And every time we repeat those words aloud, we step closer and closer to the truth.”
