Most Holy and Adorable Trinity, one God in three Persons, we firmly believe that You are here present; we adore You with the most profound humility; we praise You and give You thanks with all our heart for the favors You have bestowed on us. Your Goodness has brought us safely to the beginning of this day. Behold, O Lord, we offer You our whole being and in particular all out thoughts, words and actions, together with such crosses and contradictions as we may meet with in the course of this day. Give them, O Lord, Your blessing; may Your divine Love animate them and may they tend to the greater honor and glory of Your Sovereign Majesty. AMEN!!!! RESPONSORIAL PSALM - PS 145:1-2, 8-9, 10-11, 13-14 R/ I will Praise Your Name For Ever, My King And My God. OR: R/ Alleluia. 2ND READING - ROM 8:9, 11-13 REFLECTION: (Verses 9,13) 9*Brothers and sisters: You are not in the flesh; on the contrary, you are in the spirit, if only the Spirit of God dwells in you. Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.13* For if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. GOSPEL - MT 11:25-30 At that time Jesus exclaimed: I give praise to You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned You have revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, such has been Your gracious will. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy, and My burden light. *****REFLECTION***** JESUS in Todays Gospel introduces a JOYOUS note into the text. He Thanks the FATHER for His believing disciples whom He has revealed all hidden things to. There is a perfect reciprocity of knowledge between Jesus and the Father, So what has been handed over to Him is revealed only to those whom He wishes--Whiles the wise and the learned has rejected His preaching and the significance of His mighty deeds, the childlike has accepted them. Take My Yoke On You This is a metaphor for Jesus’ teaching and kingdom lifestyle. Yokes were heavy, wooden objects used to connect two oxen together for more efficient plowing. In contrast, allegiance to Jesus and His kingdom resulted in Rest—Not Labor. *****LESSON***** Brothers and Sisters, The Gospel Today points directly to Fmmg because we are truly Blessed. Christ and His Blessed Mother has chosen us revealing Themselves to us always with Heavenly Messages that even high religious communities would have wished to know. Christ is then still calling us today, again and again to Himself and He is telling us to place in His care all our worries and troubles. In His great love for us He will ease our burdens. *****PRAYER***** Lord Jesus, give me the child-like simplicity and purity of faith to gaze upon Your face with joy and confidence in Your all-Merciful Love. Remove every doubt, fear, and proud thought which would hinder me from receiving Your word with trust and humble submission. Amen. MARY, MOTHER OF OUR SAVIOR! PRAY FOR US, AMEN!!!!
