THE CONSTRAINT OF HIS LOVE CONQUERS ME, Vs 14 2 Cor 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: His love conquered me in: A. In Salvation B. In Separation C. In Surrender D. In Service II. THE CONDITION OF THE LOST CONCERNS ME, Vs 14 B A. They have a deceitful heart, Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? B. They have a darkened mind, II Corinthians 4: But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: C. They have a dying body, I Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. D. They are dead spiritually, Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins: III. THE CROSS OF THE LORD CALLS ME, Vs 17-21 2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Cor 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Cor 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2 Cor 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christs stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. A. THE CROSS MINISTRY OF THE SAVIOUR, -TO DIE, Vs. 21 2 Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 1. A ministry of SUFFERING, God made Him 2. A ministry of SACRIFICE, to be sin~... 3. A ministry of SUBSTITUTION, tor us B. THE CROSS OF THE LORD WILL TAKE CARE OF ALL THE PROBLEMS THAT A SINNER HAS AND IS... IV. THE CLOSING OF MY LIFE CONFRONTS ME, Vs 9-11 A. My Absence, Vs 9, 2 Cor 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. Luke 16:2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. B. My Appearance, Vs 10, 2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: C. My Accounting, Vs lOB 2 Cor 5:10b.....that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. The Judgment Seat will be a day of: A.
