MOTTVILLE SPEEDWAY JULY 21 RESULTS! MOTTVILLE, MI.,SUNDAY, JULY 21, 2013 Bradley Blackburn, Jr., Bobby Laughter, Jack Hurford, Samantha Wolkens and Morgan Baird won feature races at the historic Mottville Speedway Sunday evening! Rain came just prior to intermission but it was a very light rain. The order for the features was changed and the 4 regular classes each had their features shortened by 5 laps as we feared more rain coming in! A large crowd was on as well as a large field of cars, the most of each since 1993 for the 3rd Sunday of July despite 89 degrees at race time! Baird won an exciting GLS Mini Cup 25 lap feature over Jared Pritchard, Darrin Bohen, Stephanie Hile, Kyle Trinklin, Justin Carley, Mat Kemp, John Sattison, Jay Woosley, Elliott Pritchart, Doug Higby, Bill Rysel and Armani Williams. Baird won the first heat over Trinklin and Bohne while Kemp won the 2nd heat over Jared Pritchard and Adamni Williams. Blackburn won his 4th Sportsmen feature of the season over Adam Litaker, Tim Craig, Matt VanDusen and Lisa Saylor. Blackburn won the heat over Litaker and Craig. Laughter finally got by Marcus Carlson with 3 laps to go in the Mini Stock feature to score his 8th feature win of the season! Carlson was a closed 2nd followed by Dennis Yoder, Chad Wiser, Louis Davis, Galen Mealor, Joe Bucker and Paul Davis. Laugher won the dash over Carlson and Dennis Yoder while Chad Wiser won the heat over Laughter and Carlson. Jack Hurford won his 4th Mini Thunder Car feature of the season in a very close 4 car battle! Danny Filson was a close 2nd followed by Chad Gray and Scott Wazny. Hurford won the heat over Gray and Filson What a huge difference a week made for Hornet season points leader Samantha Wolkens! Last week she was hurt in an accident in the feature but this week she won her 5th feature of the season! Rick Wolkens was 2nd followed by Leroy Dick, David Terry, Justin Miller, Joe Lambright, Brian Englehart, Jeffery Harrell, and Tyler Mead. Lambright won the dash over Dick and Mead. Miller won the heat over Samantha Wolkens and Rick Wolkens. More in Promoter’s Point next week! The 3rd Annual Larry Birk Memorial is July 28 and Autograph Night is August 4!
