Hazel – Pit Bull Terrier Knox County Animal Shelter - Mt. Vernon, OH (bs) The volunteers are no longer permitted to go into the shelter to care for the dogs. These dogs really need human interaction. Some try their best not to go in their pens so they hold it for as long as possible. Some just can’t hold it and then sit in the filth in their pens. These dogs don’t have much but they had the volunteers to walk them, love on them, give them treats and blankets to lay on and point out any medical issues. That has now been taken away. So these dogs need out of this shelter ASAP!
