MOUNTED RIDERS VS CART DRIVERS: This is WILD WEST MINIS annual Fund Raiser Event. The money from this event will go to funding the WILD WEST MINIS 2014 event season. This event is for the MOUNTED RIDER (HORSE BACK) and the CART DRIVER (HARNESS DRIVING). We allow any size of horse. Whether it is a full-size horse or a miniature horse, we allow all equines to participate with us. This event is going to pit the Mounted Rider against the Cart Driver in several different events. All of the Mounted Riders times will be added together and all of the Cart Drivers times will be added together as well, to see who will be on the top of the mountain. Price will be $5 per rider and $5 per horse. (For Example: If there is 1 rider and 1 horse, it is $10 for the day. If you have an extra horse or extra rider it is $15 for the day.) Our events will include the following: · Pole Bending · Barrel Pattern · *Mounted Shooting/Cart Shooting · **The Wild West Shootout For our participants that want to experience driving, shooting or wish to desensitize their horses to our obstacle course: · The Driving Experience: In which you will be a passenger with a one on one lesson with Sara Millard and Lil Bit of Tazz on the Basics of Miniature horse and cart driving. You will get the chance to drive the Stagecoach course with the skills that you have learned. · Ground Driving: If you have a horse that you are still teaching to drive, we will set up a small walking course that you can ground drive your horse and get the experience of competition against other ground drivers. Ground drivers must have a harness and a horse. If you would like to learn to ground drive, myself and Tazz will let you try with him. · **Halter course: This class is specifically set up for those that wish to desensitize their horse to our obstacle course. You will be using the Pony Express and Stagecoach obstacle course with the same requirements as our Mounted and Cart Competitors. *Mounted Shooting/ Cart Shooting: Due to safety issues, it is the decision of WILD WEST MINIS that Mounted Shooters must be members of any of the following clubs: CMSA, MSA, SASS, CSA, or WSSA. ALL SHOOTERS MUST PRESENT THEIR SHOOTING NUMBER FROM THEIR ORGANIZATION AND WHAT ORGANIZATION THAT THEY SHOOT WITH. If you are not a member of the organizations, no worries, you will still be able to participate. All that we ask is that you point your finger at the balloon and say “bang” for each balloon as you pass it. This will be counted as a clean run. This is for both Mounted Riders and Cart Drivers. **The Wild West Shootout/ Halter Course: This is an obstacle course that contains shooting, due to safety reasons, those that are not part of a shooting organization will only be required to point their finger at the balloon and say “bang”. Participants are NOT required to compete in all classes, if you wish not to compete in a certain event, you will receive a 99 second run, but it won’t count against you personally. We hope that this answers your questions. If you have any other questions or suggestions, please contact us: wildwestminis@yahoo
