MOVE OVER “MAN CRUSH MONDAY”! MCM only means ONE thing to me: MARINE CORPS MARATHON! On October 26, 2014 I, along with thousands of others, will be running 26.2 miles in Washington, D.C., God willing! This “race” will mark my 21st full marathon. Most of you know I have participated in many endurance events for the Children’s Tumor Foundation over the years, a cause near and dear to my heart. This time I will be running for an important reason also…27 reasons actually. I joined Team “R4V” (Racing for Veterans) a couple of years ago in honor of my husband Eddie, a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army, and ran a half marathon in Washington, D.C. This time, I’m going back to D.C. and running with a TEAM of over 80 runners for the same cause. I am close to my goal and am DETERMINED that I will reach it TODAY!
