MOVIE REVIEW: X-Men Days of Future Past The 7th movie in the X-Men franchise, X-men Days of Future Past, is a Major and Fresh entry in this Dying Franchise, X-men is a the oldest on going franchise of superhero movies. The X-Men series lost its touch since the X-Men : The Last Stand, which was a major disaster, including the stand alone spin-off movies of Wolverine, the franchise started sinking, until X-Men First Class came, which served a origin story or Prequel for the whole franchise, and was a success. Now Days of Future Past continues the story from both The Last Stand and First Class. Based on the Comic Book with the same name, the movie stays loyal to the Comic book story line to some extent. The Movie Starts with the Dystopian future where machines named Sentinels have started a war against Mutants and Humans who help Mutants, Most of the X-Men have died and only few are left, and the only way to stop the war is going back to past and change the course of history. So Wolverine is sent back and the struggle to change the past for saving the future begins. The future part of the movie has a very dark tone, The fear of sentinels and their power to destroy the mutants can be felt all along, the viewer also feels the fear knowing how strong the sentinels are, whereas the Past portion is kind of normal and fun, yes Fun ,there is Humor in the Past portion. The Biggest USP of the Movie is the Characters, all the Alive characters of the Franchise united, that is fun to watch, personally i was excited about watching Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman sharing the screen together after such a long time. Jennifer Lawrence, Micheal Fassbender, James McAvoy, Halle Berry were a treat to watch. Again as i always have said that i focus on characters of the Film. But Peter Dinklage was wasted in the movie, his Character Bolivar Trask , the creator of Sentinels was unclear and confused. The characters of the film are very well used, all the mutants powers were shown effectively and each of them had something important to do in the movie, but 1 character literally steals the show, Quicksilver. When the character posters were revealed , Quicksilver was highly criticized and hated by all, because of his look in the movie, but as it turns out, he has the best scene in the whole franchise till date, setting an example of , do not judge a book by its cover, or do not judge a character from his poster! Professor Xavier or Professor X, both the future one and past one have a vast difference between them which is shown quite well , Magneto too had many different sides of him, he is evil but has respect for his best-friend too, personally Micheal Fassbender is an Awesome Magneto, of-course cannot beat Ian McKellen but still pretty good. watching Hugh Jackman is always a pleasure, and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique is a total Enjoyment, she is flawless! Overall the movie is quite complicated as it has the time-travel element , but Bryan Singer did a great job by explaining it very well to the viewers, of-course there are some confusions at some point, but those can be ignored, i loved Bryans The Usual Suspects, but i hated him since Superman Returns, cause he ruined it. But once again he Gained my trust. The Action is really good, the visual effects, the action choreography is excellent, the action with sentinels is quite intense. Some scenes which moves the plot forward are very touching, Patrick Stewarts speech to younger Charles Xavier is quite emotional, the story moves in a fast pace, from the very start the act begins and movie already picks up speed without wasting any time, performances by the lead actors is very good, such big cast , the biggest cast ever assembled , if i say, is treated equally, and is important in the story as well. The blending of Future elements with Past Elements is done brilliantly. So, X-Men Days of Future Past is definitely a Epic Movie, I personally loved the movie very much, as I am a fan of all Superhero movies, But the reason i loved the movie was the last scene , the last scene made me emotional, you will see why I am saying that, when you watch the movie, The movie worked as a reset button for the X-Men Franchise, giving high hopes to fans for Future Projects. This is a Must Watch! for all the Marvel, X-Men fans out there, and if you are going to watch the movie, if you havent seen any X-Men movies, you are going to have a bad time, so please watch all the X-men movies before going into theater, Please, naito bahar nikli ne kehso ke majha na aai. P.S : Please stay until the End-Credits Scene.
