MOVING ON TO HIGHER GROUNDS Success attracts more success. Yet success often hinders further success! Success often makes people rest on their oars, build monuments to past accomplishments, camp on yesterdays victories, and then become complacent thereby leading to decline and failure. Never let this happen to you. This is why God is challenging us to move to higher heights. “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18,19 You see, while you are feeling cozy with what God has done in the past, He is doing new things! While you are resting on yesterdays laurels, new heights and new levels beckon. Do not dwell on the past. Do not camp on yesterdays achievements, accomplishments, and testimonies. Thank God for where you’ve been, but it’s time to move to higher heights of glory and success. It’s quite unfortunate that the number one enemy of the best you can have is the good you now have! The good you are enjoying now could be effectively blocking the best you could be enjoying now. Never allow this to happen to you. Press on to higher heights of glory and success. There are higher heights, higher levels of achievements and accomplishmentsstill ahead. There are greater testimonies to be gained. You may have killed a lion and a bear sometime in the past in some wilderness. Great! But now is the time to kill some Goliaths!
