Solomon Prepared by: Captain Randy Haggar RE: NHSP Pursuit & Subsequent Crash in Methuen Incident Number: 529729 On Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at approximately 10:15 p.m. it was reported to the Methuen Police that the New Hampshire State Police was attempting to stop a stolen 1994 Honda Accord into Methuen. The stolen Honda was being pursued Rt. 93 Southbound, into Methuen, and continued to Rt. 213 EB at speeds over 100 mph. The stolen Honda subsequently exited onto Pleasant Valley Street. The stolen m/v continued eastbound on Pleasant Valley Street at a high rate of speed past Milk Street when the operator lost control of the vehicle and collided into a telephone pole just prior to MacDonald’s Restaurant. The vehicle sustained catastrophic damage, splitting the vehicle in half, into two pieces, coming to a final rest several hundred feet east of the pole. The male operator and female passenger fled the vehicle unharmed and were subsequently apprehended after a short manhunt by Methuen Police, Massachusetts State Police and the New Hampshire State Police, with the assistance of witnesses. As a result of this incident, Tommy Rogers, Age 29, of 2 Waterford Way #304, Manchester NH 03102 was subsequently arrested and charged with 1) Fugitive from justice, 2) Receiving Stolen Property, 3) Speeding in excess of 100 MPH in a 55 speed zone 4) Failure to stay within marked lanes, 5) Operating a m/v recklessly so as to endanger. Mr. Rogers faces numerous additional charges in the State of New Hampshire.
