MPR is currently recruiting volunteers to help at the shelter. We need people that are able to commit to at least one shift a week. A shift is about 4 to 5 hours and consists in taking care of about 8 to 9 dogs at the shelter. We are located in Kansas City, in the Raytown area. We need people that have basic experience with strong dogs, that are very reliable (our shelter operates solely on our volunteers commitment) and truly dedicated to helping Pit Bulls in need. Shelter work includes; feeding the dogs, cleaning kennels and playrooms, walking the dogs, training, cuddle time, laundry, dishes, etc. We provided training. We are in need of people that are available on weekends and in the morning during the week. Note that this is not a remunerated job - You are paid in doggy kisses and rewarded by knowing you are making a difference in the life of a homeless dog.
