MPs on the budget committee have called for an urgent review and audit of the on-going National Identification card project to establish the financial and logistical constraints, with a view to making it a success. The MPs noted that a review is necessary to know what is lacking, since a many of them are receiving complaints from their constituents about its’ inadequacy. The Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Internal affairs Steven Kagoda said yesterday that they support the review, in order to clear the bottle necks to enable them complete the process on time.
