#MSwx - Happy #Halloween Mississippi! Well start the day with cool temperatures in the upper-40s and low-50s and clear skies. A cold front will push our way by later this morning. You will know when it arrives because the winds will start to pick up in a hurry. Well see sustained winds between 10-20 mph with gusts to 25 mph. That stiff northerly breeze will help to keep our high temperatures this afternoon in the mid to upper-60s. If youre going out tonight to Trick-or-Treat, make sure to bundle up! Temperatures will plummet this evening, back into the 30s just after midnight and down near the freezing point just before sunrise tomorrow. Saturday will be very cool, but less breezy, so bundle up if youre heading to the big games in Oxford and Starkville. Well see a high temperature only in the mid-50s under sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures by Sunday afternoon. However, temperatures Sunday morning will be just as cool if not colder than what well see tomorrow. A Freeze Watch/Warning has been issued for nearly the entire viewing area through Sunday Morning as most areas are expected to see the first frost of the year, if not a light freeze by the time the weekend is over. Make sure to take precautions and get tender vegetation indoors or protect the outdoor plants. The big cold snap wont last long. Well have temperatures back in the mid-70s by the middle of next week.
