MUBI TOO IS FREED – BUT JONATHAN HAS ORDERED THE POLICE TO IMMEDIATELY SCREEN THE GALLANT CJTF!! Wonders shall never end! Following the gallant and successful recapture of Maiha town, and MubI commercial city during which more than 80 insurgents were killed in Maiha, and the fake Boko Haram “Amir” of Mubi was captured alive, this monumental success seemed to have angered the presidency. Jonathan has ordered his inspector general to henceforth screen all the CJTF volunteers! This presidential order takes immediate effect. PREMIUMTIMES: “The Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, on Thursday, directed all commissioners of police to ensure the adequate screening of vigilante groups across Nigeria. A statement by the police spokesperson, Emmanuel Ojukwu, said this was aimed at ensuring that the groups abide by relevant regulations and avoid any form of abuse. He noted that Mr. Abba instructed that an officer be appointed in all the police state commands in Nigeria to oversee the activities of the vigilante groups and deliver regular reports on them.” MY OPINION: Listen folks, we dont mind screening the CJTF at all! Since 06/11/2014 we created a forum called CJTF Legal Framework. The main aim of this forum is precisely to draft a legal document that empowers communities across the North to create their own government funded CJTF. It is a comprehensive document that entails a holistic approach to security in the North. Screening of CJTF volunteers is detailed in the document. What we resent about this recent announcement from Jonathan is the fact that he has conspicuously failed to congratulate the CJTF for their great success in recapturing Mubi and Maiha, a feat that his regular Army could not achieve. Instead, he ordered his IG to witch-hunt these gallant heroes!
