***MULTIPLE TIMES ON LIST!*** OMAR - A0972612 (MACC) Nobody seems to know how 1 year old Omar injured his leg and after several days, it appears that his leg is probably broken. One can imagine how painful an injury and if Omar had been a bit testy during his exams, one would have understood why. But surprise—this is a great dog! He did incredibly well on his behavioral exam. Assessor notes that Omar “seeks touch and would lean on the assessor”; that Omar “was very easy to handle”; and that the only time he got a bit tense was when the helper dog LEFT the room! He wanted his new buddy to stay! But ACC can’t give Omar what he needs and so they’ve put him on tomorrow morning’s euthanasia list. And they’ve given him a New Hope rating which means that he can be pulled only by a rescue. So tonight, Omar needs someone to step up to foster or adopt him who will work with a rescue. He needs folks to pledge towards the cost of the treatment for his leg. If you think you’ve got a warm, safe spot in your home for Omar so that he can recuperate from all of this, speak up. If you think, you can help Omar get on track to being the alive, happy, loving dog he is, start applying to rescues. If you think you can spare a few dollars for Omar, pledge now. But do it now—tomorrow young Omar, the loving dog who is trying so hard against such overwhelming odds will be gone forever.
