MUSIC IS THE DRUG: Never underestimate the power of music in your memories... . we have this friend weve known since 05ish when we used to run this little warehouse party out of the Angelohaus off of Commerce... it was David and Ms Nix plus guests behind the decks (all vinyl baby)... anyways, we just saw her recently in early June when she came up to Krypto. Well apparently last weekend she was in a horrible car accident.. one that left her in a coma for a couple of days and with no memory of who she is or her children or many of the people around her. A friend of hers contacted us to let us know what had happened and her current condition. So I texted a message with a photo... her Aunt who had been manning the phone showed her and for the first time in a week she smiled and started humming a tune that her Aunt didnt recognize. Her Aunt replied at how they now had a point in time she remembered... and how happy they were to see her smile.. then I sent a link to the cd that The Big Tasty put out in 05-06 thinking maybe itll help.... OMGosh did it help!!!! Aunt replied back THIS IS WHAT SHE WAS HUMMING!!!!! so they put it on repeat and went to talk to the doctors... and she says when they got back to the room, they saw her sleeping to the music with a smile on her face.. pretty much sleeping peacefully for the first time... if you dont think I havent been bursting into tears and goosebumps all day... youd be sadly mistaken. . MUSIC IS THE DRUG!!!!!
