MUST WATCH! Juice Ko. Juice Ko. Juice Ko. This was taken just a few hours ago during the Regine Velasquez Tribute Prod in Sunday All Stars. Naghihiganti ang Reyna!!! She opened it with a rousing and ever so powerful rendition of the eternal RV power ballad classic Narito Ako. Sa totoo lang, siya lang ang may kakayahang bigyan ng tama at nararapat na hustisya ang awiting ito. Maraming mataas ang boses pero si Songbird lang ang may natatanging paraan nang pag-awit ng Narito Ako na tila ba unti-unti niya tayong inilalakbay mula sa katahimikan at dilim ng gabi patungo sa isang kapana-panabik na bukang liwayway. She closed it out with a soulful & jazzy performance of You Are My Song together with the rest of the SAS ladies. She was singing with 6 other vocally powerful singers (well di ko kilala yung isang maliit) but the Queens voice prevailed and soared like a phoenix burning down all the other voices to ashes. Not the best video/audio quality (waiting for Qritiko or iJonel) but I just cant wait to share this magical and hair-raising Songbird moment with my dearest Reginians. Regine Velasquez is a living proof that vocal time travel is indeed possible. Heres a beautiful 44 year-old music icon with a voice of a 22 year-old legendary diva. Honestly, she didnt deserve to be on the same stage level as the other singers on that show. She needed to be on a higher platform, towering the rest of em basic b*tches. But Queen Regines humility & generosity shines through and I am forever in love with her for that. I am shaking and almost in tears. Sunday just got blessed just when I thought I missed church.
