""MWM APC terms No Shia-Sunni conflicts in GB "" The leaders of political and religio-Political parties of Gilgit-Baltistan Province on Friday condemned the killing of foreign tourists at Nanga Parbat and termed it’s an international conspiracy against Pakistan sovereignty. An All Parties Conference entitled “future of Gilgit-Baltistan and recent spate of terrorism” held at local hotel of Gilgit under the aegis of Majlis-e-Wehdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Gilgit-Baltistan deplored the performance of law enforcement agencies and Gilgit-Baltistan Government to protect the common people and foreign tourists and demanded the immediate action against the culprits involved in the heinous crimes. The leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim League (N), Muttahia Qaumi Movement, All Pakistan Muslim League, Jamaat-e-Islami, Balvaristan National Front, Islami Tehreek Pakistan formerly Tehreek-e-Jafaria Pakistan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, AhleSunnat Masajid Board, Pakistan Muslim league (Q) and others also addressed the APC. Addressing the All Parties Conference MWM Central deputy General Secretary Allama Amin Shaheedi claimed that there is no Shia-Sunni conflict in Gilgit-Baltistan saying that this is an international conspiracy to ignite sectarian difference for their evil desires. He termed that this is the responsibility of the clerics and government officials to maintain sectarian and religious harmony in the region adding that the agenda of the APC is to address the ongoing conflicts and issues for the stability of the country. Quoting the reports of the conference held at Israeli capital Tel Aviv to utilize the Shia-Sunni difference for Israel, he termed that our enemies want to use the 1400 years long differences for their evil desires and underlined the need to establish the joint forums to address the differences and conflicts. He said that the unity of Shiite and Sunni Muslims would foil the conspiracies of America and Israel to destabilize Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan region and alleged that American and Israelis were involved in the violence and unrest in logistic-important region of Gilgit-Baltistan. PML-N leader Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman in his address applauded the role of MWM for the peace of Gilgit-Baltistan region and underlined the concrete efforts to ensure the peace of region. He urged both Shia’s and Sunni’s to shun their difference and to foil the international conspiracies against Pakistan saying that federal and provincial governments were the responsible of the present unrest of the Gilgit-Baltistan. Amjad Advocate of Pakistan Peoples Party in his address alleged that sectarianism is not the production of Gilgit-Baltistan saying that this is an imported diseases which was infiltrated in the peaceful Gilgit-Baltistan in 1970’s. He said that we had failed to arrest a single terrorists involved in the genocide of Shia people, violence in Gilgit-Baltistan and killing of foreign tourists because of the lack of technology to protect the people from terrorists and to investigate the cases. He applauded the role of Senior Sunni Cleric Maulana Tariq Jameel and Shia cleric Maulana Rahat Hussaini for the peace of Gilgit-Baltistan saying that the both clerics have played vital role to eliminate the sectarian hatred in the region.
