MY FAMILY HAS A LONG LEGACY OF PUBLIC SERVICE in New Mexico, nationally, and internationally. In New Mexico, we have always stood for S.afety, I.ntegrity D.iversity and E.quity. My Auntie worked for the World Health Organization, my Uncle is a US Representative, my Father was State President of the NAACP and many of my relatives hold current or former District, State, National and United Nations positions, offices or appointments with honor and honesty. It was an honor to sing for James B. Lewis as he retired as NM State Treasurer. His steadfast integrity and kept New Mexicos books in order and maintained transparency and accountability of finances. I will continue this legacy by WORKING TO ENSURE THAT THE APS SCHOOL BOARD IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALL FUND APPROPRIATION, SPENDING, AND ALLOCATIONS, and I will ensure that there is TRANSPARENCY in APS BUDGET readily available and accessible to all parents, students, teachers, staff and administration.
