MY FIRST ENCOUNTER/EXPERIENCE WITH A JAPANESE POLICEMAN. Actually,it all happened on the Sunday,17th November 2013.It was my first bike trip to the Hachioji station to buy some groceries.I got to the shop and unfortunately for me, the bike packing space was full so had to find another place to park.I found a nice place not so far from the shop where other people had also packed their bikes.I packed it there and went to do my shopping.I came back and to my utmost surprise,I saw a policeman standing close to my bike with a receipt and green tag on my bike.I pretended as if I hadnt seen him and decided to go for my bike.Just when I was unlocking my bike,he approached me and started speaking Japanese.I also began speaking English because I didnt understand what he was saying even though I could understand some one or two words.After sometime,the policeman came to the realization that,the two of us would never understand each other since we were speaking different languages so he had no option than to allow me to go free.I was so happy and didnt know what to do.I ended up saying ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU.The policeman suddenly turned and looked at me............. You can guess what happened afterwards.
