MY LIFE! It was one cold Thursdsy morning, Several years ago, that I was born! A village boy through and through, Who never shared in much of lifes luxury But was ever contented all the same! I had to trek many miles every day... For solid foundation to be laid for my life. I remember the groundnut in the pockets That I would eat while making the trip. It was all fun, I really enjoyed it all. At ten, I came to secondary school in town. Suddenly, I saw my status changing ... From the shy village boy that I really was To the sophistication of a city dweller; Which totally altered my direction in life. I have been faced with many challenges... Most of them, I have easily surmounted, But a few have yet refused to yield! Still, I believe, they will soon collapse Because of He that is working in me! Today, I celebrate the day I was born.
