MY PERSPECTIVE ON LEADERSHIP What leadership means to me Leadership is inspiring and persuading a cluster of people by affirmative personality and example devoid of compulsion or intimidation to follow your dream within the parameters you set, to the extent that it becomes a collective effort, a mutual vision and a communal success. Leadership involves exploiting the untapped potential and efforts of a standard cluster of persons and subsequently advance their outlook from an unremarkable terminus X to a much anticipated terminus Y. Leadership is evident in extrapolating a person’s capability in a way that exact the assurance of the other team members. It is developing the confidence of followers, inspiring their trust so that they align their vision and level of obligation for their betterment and that of the society. Leadership involuntarily develops through a perpetual headway of exposure, personal discovery, schooling, training, and familiarity with modern aspects in the society. Why is leadership important and what are the qualities of a good leader? Why Leadership is Important Effectual leadership provides many benefits and opportunities and will assist a society to achieve success and stability as I have documented below: Provide direction and support your society and colleagues during unstable times. Establish a positive model of what meticulousness and ethics is by defining and exhibiting moral and ethical courage and setting a model for everyone in the society. Novelty a way to balance our lives with work and family. Provide an innocuous domicile for our off springs and ambitious youths to learn and grow. Embolden and mentor youths, your contemporaries, children, and kith and kin to go for their dreams. Twitch a business that solves a problem in the society we live in. Being a leader enables you to be effective and efficient in determining your societies’ destination and creating a team that focuses on getting it there. Being a leader helps you recruit, edify leadership skills and prop up recruits who demonstrate leadership abilities, who will then help do the “hefty bracing” of moving the organization to its anticipated vision. Being a leader lends you a hand to scrutinize your own strengths and limitations, in addition to those of the society, and enables you to develop a sense of reality. THE QUALITIES OF A GOOD LEADER Inspiring and motivating: Good leader ventures into mentoring prospect leaders by pigeonholing, inspiring, guiding and endow people to be the preeminent and to accomplish and reach those aspirations they might have thought as unfeasible Dignified -Good leaders are ever straightforward, candid, fair, and steadfast. Effective Communicator – They are proficient to clearly and succinctly share their thoughts with employees and empower their followers by defining the company’s goal and showing how to get there describe what you want done is extremely important. Self- Buoyant- Good leaders have a firm conviction in their abilities, tenacity, patience and stay tranquil and in no doubt, to help out maintain the team feel first-rate and to focus on the larger goal even if the expectations of the brand is worrisome and things aren’t going as per the plan. Proactive- Good leaders are imaginative in their approach, acclimatizing new ideas to resolve current issues and implementing them effectively to thwart future recurrences when leading a team through uncharted waters. Visionary- Good leaders have a clear and exciting idea of where they are going and what they are trying to accomplish for the society. Humble - Good leaders are those who contain their ego, self-assured and appreciate the value of others without sentiment of being vulnerable. Enthusiastic: Good leaders are able to fuel and inducing excitement amongst employees so that achieving organizational goals can be done in an energetic manner. Self- conscious and malleable: Good leaders exhibit an intimate knowledge of their own inner emotional utter; capabilities and limitation and continually improves their knowledge and skills to meet new challenges. Open Minded: Good leaders are able to listen openly to the thoughts and outlooks of their followers and enthusiastically implement new ways of doing things if they believe it will be valuable to the society. Excellent indulgent of the Society: Good leaders have a clear perceptive of their society, the environment in which they operate and their challengers. Effective team builders: Good leaders have the ability to see the potential in their cohorts and successfully consign them in a team where their skills and talent will be properly utilized. Emotional Intelligence (EQ) – Good leaders fathom their mental processes and have outstanding self control. In conclusion, I must avow that good leadership necessitate transforming principles into actions, visions into realities, barriers into innovations, isolations into solidarity and perils into rewards, challenging opportunities into astonishing achievements. Leadership is a resolution to egg on, inspire or motivate a team to walk along with you for mammoth accomplishments. Leadership therefore gratifies both the leader and the follower and develops the society at large.
