MY PHLEGMATIC PRESIDENT is a book that attempts to look at President Goodluck Jonathan through a psychological prism and, I must warn you, the conclusions are very interesting. ....Nobody should feel sorry for the president when any of his aides misbehave; nobody should even bother to remind us that it was not the president who committed the act. The fact is that he must bear responsibility for everything done by his aides – Ministers, Directors-General, Permanent Secretaries, Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Police, etc. Whether the president likes it or not, whether he acknowledges the fact or not, he is partly responsible for every blow of the gun butt a Nigerian gets from an angry and hungry policeman, whose sadistic predisposition can partly be blamed on lack of welfare and his having to graduate from schools run on subhuman levels, such as the Ikeja Police College. The president is partly responsible for every kobo every politician steals at either the national, state or local government level.....
