MY POEM ON EBOLA POEM EBOLA BY:ERIC SYLAS KAWA Avoid appearing on our dailies! Be among the histories, Oh you deadly disease! Stop making the headlines. We had peacefully rubbed skin, Until we heard the siren. Our freedom restricted through quarantine, They say you are without vaccine. At first you were politicized, With time you were denied, But now highly criticized. You brought an unforgettable memory, Leaving our people dingy. Away,Ebola you go to your kindred! You made our rights to be restricted. You orphaned the children, With your distressful burden, Oh you offspring of Lucifer! To our people you brought stigma, Our people are dying, The children are suffering, Our economy is falling, Our education declining. Leave us you invisible foe, Go to where no folk will know, But with oneness we can conquer, With God being our only helper, savior and curer.
