MY RESPONSE TO COMMENTS MADE TO MY PREVIOUS POST (https://facebook/captainraylewis?ref=tn_tnmn) FIRST – the non-actions I associated with each celebrity, were merely given as examples that are in need of attention. SECOND – someone defended Springsteen for his efforts to feed the hungry. His charitable donation amounted to two tickets to several of his concerts. His net worth is still 300 million, minus the lost revenue on the tickets. THIRD – someone defended Clooney as he once posed with an undershirt that said Save the Arctic, and that he has contributed to many other environmental and humanitarian causes. His net worth is still 240 million. FOURTH – I was taken to the woodshed by another commenter who received five likes. Her comment consisted of four fronts. She states, A) Im sure the celebrities you mention have issues they work on. She fails to name a single one. But perhaps they do. But even if they do, I doubt their commitment, when they still have the following net worth: Oprah – 2.9 BILLION!, Springsteen 300 Million, Michael Jordan – 1.1 BILLION, Bill Cosby – 300 Million B) I dont think its right to single out any managed personality to shame because they dont climb on our bandwagon. managed personality What, they dont have a mind of their own??? They do, and they could fire their manager if so desired. Happens all the time. Also, if facts shame,them, damn the facts, not me. C) These people are human beings. . . Yes, the very fact that they are human, and not robots, is why I expect more from them. D)Besides, tearing them down doesnt build us up. NOWHERE, in my post, could it be interpreted as I was trying to tear them down, to build us up. YOU my friends be the judge. I say whatever celebrities are doing, while still sitting on 240 MILLION to 2.9 BILLION, they are not worthy of our accolades. What would you do with the above money amounts? Would you sit on it, with so much need in the world?
