MY SPEECH OVER TODAY COMMEMORATION THIS IS AN ISSUE TO BEAR IN MINE....... THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND THOUGHT TO THE OGONIS November 10th: A day that mostly the Ogoni people mourns the dead of KENSARO NWIIWA. Some say they celebrate this day; others say they mourn it. But some questions of thought came up ... Why was KEN assassinated for the progress of the Ogonis? .... ; I believe the typical reason was to have a Kingdom. He fought to achieve this not only in Nigeria but across the World. On the process, enemies came up, terminate his action and assassinate him. Ever since; the Ogonis thought that to achieve this will be a crucial risk because we probably lack leaders who will take his dream to deck. Since we have been defeated to have a Kingdom; The question is ... Are we also going to be defeated to have a State? OR should the dead of KEN go in vain? Now all of us have forgotten about state issue. We now have much emphasis on Ogoni 2015 Project i.e Ogoni to produce the next Governor of Rivers State. But what if the next Governor of Rivers State is not the son of the soil? Does it mean well be deprived of having a State Forever? But wait; Our Leaders and Youth, do we conceive these thoughts at all? OR Do we keep silence and continue feeding beneath the table of these politicians that will always bribe our right, our pride and also the future of our offspring/future generation with money? OKAY ... What if we accept the fact that our generation should go this way; Have we forgotten to think of how our future generation will look like? OR should our Youths continue backing up those greedy politician with guns as their guide and causing more problem to our Land? This is what KEN fought against because he knew that if his mission is accomplished well all benefit from it and have a peaceful/successful Land. NOW; The questions that hit the target are; Is the dead of KENSARO NWIIWA going in vain? OR should we Forget the fact that he died to save Ogoni Land? If we shouldnt forget ... WHAT IS MAKING US RELUCTANT TO BRING HIS DREAM REAL EVEN WHEN WE NOW HAVE THE CHANCE TO DO SO? To our children To our Youths To our Leaders and For the sake of the forth coming generation of Ogoni Land ... *LETS CONCIEVE ANOTHER THOUGHT* If KENs dream is accomplished; itll do the very best to us all. Hmmm ... GOD SAVE OGONI LAND
