MY STRUGGLE WITH THE BIBLE!: The Bible is boring, I concluded when I was very young. Since I had so much reverence for it, I decided I should read it. From Genesis to the maps on the back, I didnt get very far! I was proud of my progress until I almost gave up in Gen. 5, a seemingly boring genealogical record. However, I struggled my way through, verse by verse. But then in chapter 10 I hit another genealogical record! At that point I gave up on the Old Testament! I thought, at least Ill read the New Testament, surely it will be more interesting. But the N.T. begins with a genealogical record! Though somewhat ashamed of my lack of spirituality and commitment, I gave up on reading the Bible. Based on my unfair sampling, I decided it was not user-friendly! Eventually, while I started losing my family as they started passing-away one by one, I began to think much more seriously about the meaning of life and about life after death. Looking back, I see how God gradually used painful memories to begin to turn my life around! After reading and studying Scripture intensely, with help various Jewish Christian Elders, a real turning point hit me! I stated in a Post, Like a Thunderbolt.! Why are we not worshipping God like we were Commanded? Focusing on Pauls statement of Being free I enhance my Torah study. Yeshua freed us from the many Temple, Sacificial and ancient Laws from the Torah, but NOT the Commandments and ways God asked to be worshipped! When I came to 2 Peter 3:16, Peter explains that Pauls writings will be perverted because Pauls letters are hard to understand! This is why I could not figure out why Yeshua said one thing and Paul said another! THEY DIDNT! Paul was a Pharsees. His job was to obey and perform ALL the Temple Laws, sacrifices and the ancient Laws of stoning someone to death, instead of loving and forgiving! This is what we are free from, not the Commandments and Gods Moadim (Holy Days)! Man has NO RIGHT or AUTHORITY to change Gods Word!
