MY THOUGHTS: During the barrage of opinion, outrage, violence and - TopicsExpress

MY THOUGHTS: During the barrage of opinion, outrage, violence and 24/7news cycles at several points this year, so much of the genuine change that REALLY DOES need to occur is trampled by ongoing sensationalism, manipulation, and the deaf rants coming from those who choose to stir the pot rather than be part of a solution. My hat is off to ANY person of ANY color, race, religion or creed that can, in the face of those who choose to stir the pot to rage against and who get off via reckless outrage and senseless violence... my hat is off to those who, in the face of THAT, still take action and make the difference they can. A thankless job. This THANKSGIVING I have great appreciation and gratitude for those who can maintain their focus and take action TOWARD a SOLUTION! Every journey begins with a series of small steps. Let us VALUE the small steps we take... let us FOCUS on the ways we can each demonstrate good in the world... let us take action to CHANGE what we can... let us each START with a single step. My first little step was to sit down and write this... to get clear on where I am in all this... to share this video... and to remind myself that, while it is easier to tune-out from the madness, to judge it or become frustrated by it... to actually be part of a solution requires being engaged! SO... my NEXT little step is to tune-IN more... find compassion for the madness... and look for ways that I can be part of a solution that works. Thats it. Happy Thanksgiving :-) Cheers, Suzanne Note: While I have no knowledge of the Milwaukee Police Chief, beyond this video, I think what he says here is well said, constructive, impassioned and a good reminder for us all. https://youtube/watch?v=T7MAO7McNKE
