MY THOUGHTS ON CATHEDRAL STATION Since the closing of a 31 yr. - TopicsExpress

MY THOUGHTS ON CATHEDRAL STATION Since the closing of a 31 yr. old institution that we all loved and supported...And Of that institution supporting us. I have been suspiciously silent. especially for me..:0) Well I thought it was time to speak...We tend to , as a community take so many things for granted. Those of us that are older, we assume that things will always be there...The younger of us assume that things have always been the way they are.. We complain when things change, not to our liking..... But none of us , inside our community stand up to make a difference....Lord knows, some of us can afford to !! But do nothing but complain...... As a community we should not only excited, but grateful at this news. In my 25 yrs. in Boston Ive see our community lose place after place that we called our own. We became relegated to going to places that catered to us one night a week, mostly because they were slow nights for there businesses, not because they gave a damn about us, as a community. Yes , Assimilation is great. We can eat, drink, dance, hold hands , kiss, anywhere we choose. We can even marry and adopt children. That being said, It is not the same as having a place and people that care about US as a community. That support US as a community. We should be very grateful to Larry, Billy, Joey and Gary for continuing to support US as a community...... My Grandmother used to say No matter how good someone treats you in there home....You are never as comfortable there as in your OWN !!! THANK YOU LARRY, BILLY, JOEY AND GARY for giving us our home......
