MY-TREE: To increase the awareness on Green Earth among VITians, we are announcing a scheme called “My-Tree”. Under this scheme, a VITian (Faculty / Staff / Students / Alum) can donate Rs.1000/- to VIT. Such donors will get the opportunity to plant a tree sapling. A board containing their name will be displayed on the tree guard. VIT will dig the pits, provide tree guards and maintain the saplings. Since only a few hundred saplings are being planted, they will be allotted on a First-Come-First-Served basis. These saplings will be planted in SJT ground, Men’s hostel opposite to ‘N’ block, Stadium Annexe and in the Thiruvalam road near Main Guest House along our boundary. Those who are interested to avail this rare opportunity may contact their school manager or hostel office or alumni officer.
