Macaulay Advised youths to be self-Reliant. The secretary to the Delta State Government, comrade Ovuozorie Macaulay , has advised youths in the state to be creative and self-Reliant. Comrade Macaulay gave this advice on Monday, at Ozoro in Isioko North Local Government Area, during the flag-0ff ceremony of subsidy Re-investment program(sure-p). He deplored a situation in which youths resort to begging, saying they should grow out of that syndrome, he also advised the Isoko youths , to shun the act , he said those involved in such vice to desist from It as it is self-destructive. Macaulay who spoke eminently, at the event , said that the Peoples Democratic Party (pdp) government would eradicate poverty through the Subsidy Re-investment program(sure-p). He stated that the aim of the program is to ensure that every Deltan is been carried along through enhancing , the socio-economic status of Deltans . Macaulay however, commended president Goodluck Johnathan, and Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, for initiating the laudable project sure-p, saying that program has empowered 6,000 Deltans and over 700 people from isoko north, especially the less-previleged, youths and women. The SSG , advices the beneficiaries in the state to put the items given to them to good use, so that their social-economic status would be enhanced, and they can contribute to the development of the society, he urged those who have not benefitted to be patient.
