Mace Group Graduate Development Programme - 2014 Programme overview: The Mace two-year Graduate Development Programme aims to build up graduates’ technical skills and their confidence to conduct business with professionals across Mace, our industry and our clients. Our industry leading graduate programme focuses on technical as well as interpersonal skills development and is aligned with the requirements of four professional bodies: RICS, CIOB, RIBA and ICE. Collaboration is key to the programme and graduates work on projects offering access to a variety of business sectors and disciplines. Plenty of support is provided to help graduates learn our business and further their career within Mace, including: a mentoring scheme, peer-to-peer buddy programme, a dedicated line manager as well as support from our HR representatives. For the first 6 months of your career with Mace Group you will be working at one of our offices in South Africa (Johannesburg or Cape Town). In August 2014 you will be transferred to the UK (London) for a period of one year to join the Graduate Development Programme. After the one year period in the UK you will return back to one of our offices in South Africa to complete the 2nd year of the Programme. Occasional travel to the UK during the 2nd year will required in order to attend certain training courses. Entry criteria: Ideal candidates are ambitious and passionate about our industry, have strong organisational and communication skills. A minimum BSc (Hons) degree in Construction / Project Management / Quantity Surveying or MEng degree (or equivalent qualifications) are required for entry to the scheme. We also look for candidates with evidence of prior work experience. Application and interview process: · Candidates interested in joining the Graduate Development Programme should register their interest by completing the application form and submitting their CV electronically to martin.boshoff@macegroup · The interview and selection process will take place over a 2 day period during on the 4th and 5th September 2013 which will include a presentation, interview and individual and group assessment exercises. · Once you have indicated your interest, the 2 day interview and selection process programme will be communicated separately in more specific detail. · Candidates who impress during the 2 day interview and selection process will be made an offer to join our business in South Africa in January 2014 and will then relocate to the UK (London) in August 2014 to join the next intake of the Mace Graduate Development Programme in September 2014.
