Mada, the Water, the Bath and the Baby (Defection) The English - TopicsExpress

Mada, the Water, the Bath and the Baby (Defection) The English people have a say that you don’t throw away the water, the bath and the baby. My heart bleeds whenever I think of how the mada nation has suffered, kept suffering in the mist of advancement. When tribes are advancing, forging ahead and achieving in new styles of development, mada is still struggling even in the old style. My last write-up sparked up reactions positive and negative. So many insinuations trail that discussion. The truth is that true politics gives room to people to freely speak and in the foolishness of those speeches the wise are made wiser. I neither talked as APC or PDP but as a mada son. I maintain my stand that Mada at one time (recently) stood at the threshold of benefitting from the govt of the day; and defection cannot, will not and have not been to our best of interest. My brothers, politics is a game. It doesn’t matter who played skillfully but who scored at the end. It will be so painful if at the exit of this govt Mada have not scored but played a skillful politics. Defection of an individual is different from defection of a people, this is because the ripple effect is always much. One year is still lingering before the next elections and will Mada prefer to say ‘we want to stay empty and wait for another regime’ which you know not. Let me be frank, in 2015 elections there are only two options awaiting us except otherwise. The options are, either PDP wins or APC. Let’s weigh these options. If PDP wins Mada is not certain of who. If this ‘who’ turns out to be someone not favorably dispose to her then what do we say? Is it not dicey? More so regimes seldom move from good to better. If this option works I pray for God’s favor and mercy. Second option, if APC wins then is another 4 years of annihilation except by divine intervention. To me I think is wise I lobby to get what will benefit the nation, save us from zero budgeting, developmental projects, appointments, empowerment etc. Any right thinking nation goes for this, and anything short of this is not politics. I also remain resolute that in our zone Eggons seem to be playing this kind of politics. I envy the eggons for that. I remain supportive to this style of politics. Eggon play both internal and external politics, what a people to emulate. Politics is about lobbying. Today development in Mada is shaky and yet people are saying is okay, ‘ next govt will do it’, brother you are waiting for “god-out” says shakespare. The traditional stool we fought for over 25 years is not yet a reality, major projects sited in Akwanga will now be at mercies of God, appointments has come to a fool stop all in the name of defection. One year is too much to play this kind of politics and say the effect will be bearable. To even play hypocrisy in other to get what belongs to you in this dispensation, wont it be better? Presently we are victims of heavy casualty whether we like it or not. Suppose we got all these things then defect if need be I think I will feel good that we have benefitted. Any opportunity from presidency today will always be too small to circulate. Let me close by asking this question. Today Mada may claim we are in parallel control of the state by having the party (PDP) leader as our own. Check the National Confab list, no one to represent Mada interest. During the selection and nomination what happen? Wamba have two and N/ Eggon have representatives. Where is Akwanga? Thank God for the sake of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) our Uncle and Daddy Anthony Sani had to ride upon. I don’t think this early morning defection of Mada people has brightened our political chances. While others are moving and advancing Mada is marking time. This is just my own piece of opinion and not a binding idea, pls do understand. Thanks and God bless. Best Barau.
