Made the mistake of going to Ocean Basket Musgrave on Friday night. Sushi starters took a record 1 hour and 16 minutes to get to the table.... And was disgusting....nothing. Was firmly wrapped and everything disintegrated on the trip from the plate to the plastic soy sauce bowl.During this time we observed no fewer than 4 platters going back to the kitchen. With trepidation we ordered the Soul Mate platter. The mussels were ice cold and raw... When we complained to the waitress she told us they dont cook them, they just pour hot sauce over them! The entire platter was totally drenched in sauce, a congealed, overpoweringly lemon sauce tinged in the psychedelic yellow of Aromat. The calamari steaks were covered in a thick, tasteless putty like substance which should have been used as window putty for the flavor. After eating the prawns and grilled calamari pieces we could not stomach anymore. The rice was cold and matted in the overly compensated thick lemon crap that was liberally drenched over the platter. The waitress apologized and brought us the bill!!! No offer of compensation for the almost half a platter we sent back! Never again! After wasting R600 on a crap meal I will not be back!
