Madeline has weed herself 4 times in the last 18 hours. This was a symptom of her tumour pressing on her spinal cord before her 1st operation 2 years ago. She started to wee herself just prior to us getting her last scan results, this was the reason the decision was taken to undergo her next op and not to go straight for chemo. After we made the decision to go for the op, she stopped doing it. She started again last night. The fact that shed stopped made us question the requirement for the op and were we doing the right thing. The oncologist on Tuesday pointed out that the operation would increase the chances for success with the chemo and with her starting to have accidents again, its put our minds at rest that weve made the right decision. It could also be that she is subconsciously worried about the news we gave her the other night. The biggest worry is that her tumour starts to cause her pain before we get to the op. Weve never seen a kid in so much pain and it nearly paralysed her. We had to carry her screaming down to her first MRI scan as she couldnt walk. Fortunately, her neurosurgeon has stated that she will operate at very short notice if required. Were pretty happy we wont need it, but its a worry. Shes really happy at the moment and being her horrible little self. Hope it continues. :-)
