Madras Café: Real happening but not Reality… #VinuGyaan: It is straight forward storyline about the issues and problems in Sri Lanka’s Jaffna region. The movie is set in the late 80’s and early 90’s. It is a story about how the LTTE came into being and what happened during this phase. The Indian government wanted peace to prevail in this region but that was not acceptable to the LTTE leader. The Indian military comes into play, the RAW team also gets involved in this since the Sri Lankan coastline is very close to India it would tantamount to National Security Threat. The finale for the LTTE team was assassination of the Prime Minister of India who wanted this Peace Treaty to be in place. This movie has some changes, LTTE is LTF and the place of assassination was changed... RAW Chief Robin (Siddharth Basu) assigns Vikram (John Abraham) an army officer the role of the peace maker in Jaffna where he meets with the LTF chief Anna. The same place Vikram meets Jaya (Nargis Fakri) a war correspondent from London. How the incidents unfold and how the assassination happens and the entire planning of this act is what this movie is all about. #VinuGyaan 2:The background score overpowers the dialogues making it a not so good experience for the audience. The first half is boring but the second half is much better. This movie gets a rating of 1.5 stars.
