Magical Moments of Thanks This winter the state I have lived in my entire life has been hit with what many have said is the toughest winter on record. No wonder statistics reiterate that we have not seen temperatures or snowfall like what we in Indiana this winter have experienced since sometime around 1918. Okay...it has been challenging to say the least...but I am choosing to say look beyond this moment and savor what history is offering. In all likelihood it will be a bit before we see this again. So many have had disasters ...heat loss, cars that will not run or broken pipes...we know the devastating effects first hand! But there is a but...look up, look out and just breathe. I get to work with a partner here in Ft Wayne that is so gifted...a surgeon, an artist , a visionary and he has in turn opened so many paths to meet so many phenomenal souls not the least of which is his wife who is the true guide in his family ... the lead guide so to speak.... A brilliant soul led me to them...yet another partner that I have learned volumes from and yes I am confident she knows who she is. I am getting to watch the synergy of ying and yang...which is that not nature? I just want to say to all my Indiana neighbors...this to shall pass. But in the meantime , if and when circumstances allow...pause and look out across our state, our fields, our backyards. They are breathtaking and for many of us if history repeats itself we will never see this again in our lifetimes. Our fields , our yards, our parks are carpeted w white. In our family we have lost a residence because of this tie but already I see opportunity. Just pause...set a goal to celebrate something about now and find a way to help others to do the same always remembering Gods creatures great and small. Here then is what I wanted to share...this moment...this time. (No wonder Jerry thinks I talk to much,,,what could he possibly be thinking.... This evening we came home from a wonderful evening with our closest friends. I looked out in our backyard and there was my gift to Jerry at least 10 years ago staring me in the face; a flag pole. I found the flag pole that his company had in all their locations and that was his gift. It is beautiful and regal and my husband Jerry taught me that his/our flag needed to be lit. Well, it was and is and tonight once again after he is fast asleep and I am here talking to well I am not sure who I was moved to reflect. The flag pole still stands fast and our brilliant 5X7 ft flag is not only limp but draped fast against the flag pole as though it is huddled against the elements. The snow is falling steady and the two lights illuminating our flag pole stand as sentinals, as guideposts. Tonights vision is so simple, it is just pure and beautiful. It is a vision of the American flag at rest...illuminated by the steady fall of giant snowflakes. It is just glorious. A moment in time..so lovely it was called to be shared. Sweet Dreams!
