Magickal uses for herbs-Erythronium americanum Gender Feminine. Planet- Moon. Element- Water. Appearance- The plant is small, smooth and slender, a light brown color. It has leaves that are dark green with purple splotches. The flower tends to be a lily like shape and a bright yellow color, often tinged in purple. It flowers in April and early May. Parts used - leaves and bulbs Others names- American Adders tongue, Serpents tongue, Adders mouth, Dogs Tooth Violet, Yellow Snow drop. Adders tongue- Stops gossip and slander, promotes healing. This herb is sacred to the serpent Goddesses. Used in divination, healing magick, lunar magick and dream magick. Soak some Adders Tongue in warm water and apply to a wound or bruise.(wrap it in a piece of cloth) until the herb turns warm, next bury the wet herb in a muddy place. The wound will be cured according to the legend. DO NOT use herbs without consulting a doctor first.
