Mainstream media always responds to specific interests, thus, debating topics in such and such a way, always responds to a necessity and a timing. In this sense, I guess that it is not if Muslims are like this or not but rather How would you respond to years of flagrant intervention on your own land without a legitimate reason or even without an authentic BOND, I mean, try to put yourself in the opposite perspective, try to reason like the other. The EAST-WEST approach towards these cultural clashes bears the awkward mistake of gross simplification, typical of a standard high-school narrative explanation of the crusades, totally oblivious to the fact that real economic-political interests underlie these narratives. Deviating the nuclear cause of the middle east conflict from War Machinery Creating Industry as a domination tactic towards a Theological debate in nature is, precisely, what is called a diversion, a cynical distraction because to really be able to debate this matter, it is compulsory to HAVE READ, at least, each book and this is, too far away a possibility for us non-scholars. Having said this, it is evident that public opinion cannot grasp the real dimension of what is being discussed because mainstream media relate to these topics as everyday material which comes and goes with such a speed that only allows shallow scrutiny and thus, promotes more confusion than clarification. It is certainly very positive to be acquainted with what the media discusses or its agenda but it is not necessary to get entwined into its deceitful web ´cause, it is always important to keep in mind that these positions are always scripted they are not spontaneous whatsoever.
