Maintaining a healthy weight or trying to lose some weight, some tools are necessary! First: a kitchen scale to measure your meats and other proteins... Second: measuring spoons to measure your fats and oils and sugars... Measuring cups for mainly your starches , staples, whole grains, peas, beans, and cereals...,, A food diary for logging your intake.... A bathroom scale for weekly weigh ins..... My healthy dish tonight includes: 1/2 cup rice and peas, 3 ounces chicken with tomatoes and onions, salad with 1 tsp olive oil and vinegar ! 350 calories....women should have 1/2 cup starch per meal, men 1 cup....Portion Control very important .
